Understand the many uses of radio broadcasting systems
FM radio is the standard communication and broadcasting technology using radio waves from radio stations. FM radio signals are generally low in frequency between thirty hertz to several hundred kilohertz. Signals are usually sent by gusty stations, called running hours. This type of signal is not very strong and it usually takes a while for them to travel a long distance.
On the other hand, digital audio-video data such as video and sound are transported over short distances using radio waves. Video digital video is also transmitted over a television network using FM radio waves in the same manner as above. Digital audio video has a much higher frequency than the audio waves used by FM radio. However, there is a limitation in transmitting digital signals over long distances. As a result, digital video is used primarily for communication purposes, while streaming over long distances using FM radio is reserved for only one station.
